Time to start nesting again.

Well its the new term and soon it will get dark and cold BUT its not all doom and gloom! I have just finished reinventing the most amazing 1950's festival of Britain retro Howard Keith Wingback suite in luxurious Paul Smith Modulating Stripes Fabric. Howard Keith are renowned British furniture makes, much like Greaves & Thomas of Bond Street and other Danish makers of the Modernist era and are a real collectors classic. Here is the preview and some really nice photos will follow in my website. The beautiful picture is by Welsh artist Sarah Richards and here is a link to her website http://www.sarahrichards.org/

Spring has sprung at LoveMyRetro

With regret, we closed the pop up shop in Hampstead this weekend because we could no longer man it. We've had some very positive feedback and great excitement at out arrival and made some good sales. It seems that Hamsptead is crying out for great looking retro furniture and homewares and maybe we will pop up again in the future!

In the meantime, don't despair, I've still got plenty of new mid twentieth century modern pieces and have managed to source some amazing armchairs and sofa, such as Howard Keith, Gio Ponti.

In fact, just got hold of a fantastic and rare Greaves & Thomas of Bond Street , early 70s bubble sofa reminiscent of Arne Jacobsen's designs. It would look stunning in a stripey 100% Camira fabric!

Do make contact with me if you are interested in any of the pieces.

Happy Easter!

Website now 'Live'. See all my retro, vintage, mid twentieth century designs.

After much hard work and dedication I am very pleased to report that the LoveMyRetro website, is now 'live' thanks to the hugely creative and much appreciated work of David Hitner at Studio Small and his trusted programmer Pierre Nel (www.studiosmall.com). Many of the photos were taken by Ania Wawrzkowicz.

The website shows off my current pieces but my hope it that this is just the beginning. My intention is to feature my 'new' (or maybe old!) retro, mid twentieth century British and  Scandinavian pieces regulalry so do keep looking and make contact if you see something you like. I have many chairs and sofas from the 1950s, 60s and 70s waiting to be 'reinvented' or 'upcycled'.

I only use the most exquisite, designer fabrics from Paul Smith, Designers Guild, Bute amongs others, celebrating what is good about British design. Hope you like it!
